Fiona Moatt
Fiona Moatt first exhibited at Tilthams Farm Gallery in 2004, where her seascapes proved very popular. Fiona lives on the Isle of Wight and works full time from her studio in Cowes. The Island’s diversity provides a wealth of creative richness, and the light, sea and surrounding beaches are a major inspiration. Fiona’s work combines painting and collage to produce layered, textural images. The technique that she has developed involves ‘pre-painting’ paper, which is torn and applied to the surface. The image is then refined with painted detail and the careful application of small pieces of the pre-painted paper.
Fiona has exhibited in Isle of Wight, London, New York and Cornwall. Her work is represented by several galleries including Kendall’s Fine Art in Cowes and Webbs Road Fine Art in London.
